Check out these awesome Northern Lights watercolors that the Ryan Middle School students created. They used their choices of watercolor techniques practiced in the technique sheets to create several potential sky paintings before choosing one (or two or three :) to finish with additional refinements like dry brush technique to make the dark sky darker to contrast with their brilliant aurora's. They then finished with a dark sky line silhouette created by mixing dark blue and brown paint rather than resorting to black.
